prayer
Simple one today. If you have read some of my previous posts, you will have noticed that prayer always plays a part in every one of them. Prayer is very core to me, even though it has been a struggle at times. (See my post called tension.) Regardless of the struggle, we are called to pray constantly.
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. – Romans 12:12
So, what do we pray about? Anything and everything. God is our heavenly father – the perfect father we desire in our lives if we realize it or not. Whether our own dad is/was great or not. Our heavenly father longs to talk to us, so why not talk to Him about everything? You won’t bore Him. He loves you too much.
The Bible also says this:
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – 1 Timothy 2:1
So that’s where I am today. I am reaching out to you to see how I can pray for you. I urge you to comment, email me, DM me, or whatever mode of contact you wish, but please reach out with how I can pray. Regardless if you are reading this on the day it is posted, a week later, a month later, a year later, I want to pray for you. If you are uncomfortable with details, then leave them out. It doesn’t mean I can’t still cover you in prayer. God knows the details but let me help pray for His kingdom to breakthrough into your life. Not because I am anything special, but because it always helps to bring someone along on the journey. Bring it out into the light so darkness will not pervade.
Father – I hear your calling to pray for your children. This fallen world is too hard to go it alone. Thank you for the gift of prayer and the ability to pray for our fellow brothers and sisters. I pray for those reading these words that they would have the strength to reach out for prayer in their life, even for something small. It can be so hard to take that first step, but let it be easy. If not to me then I pray that you would give them the wisdom and strength to talk to the person you want for them. – In Jesus’ Name – Amen.
